SUMMARY

installed Debian 12.6 on a LG gram 15Z95P and well doing the
installation i selected KDE plasma to be my desktop environment but when
rebooting after install and going through grub to boot to the newly
installed OS the screen just keeps flashing a white then goes to black,
attempting to switch to the CLI does not work.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Install Debian 12.6 and well selecting the desktop environment
select KDE plasma

2. Wait for the computer to start up after rebooting


OBSERVED RESULT

Screen flashes repetitively and will not boot into the desktop
environment, trying to switch to command line only shows a black screen.


EXPECTED RESULT

Computer boots up into the OS.

Debian 12.6

(whatever KDE plasma version comes with it)

I suspect it might have to do something with lightdm but I am not sure

I have sent this same bug report to KDE but i was forwarded here

thank you for your bug report but I'm not quite sure LightDM is used when
installing KDE Plasma desktop. Can you double check?

Also it'd help to use reportbug so we have all the information on your system
