Greetings.

As long as I've used it, aptitude-curses's Tasks / Debian Multimedia
task list items have had their single first character missing.

Is this a common experience in aptitude?

The attached partial screenshot PNG was taken using the import command
from bash.

# file aptitude-screenshot.png
# aptitude-screenshot.png: PNG image data, 359 x 383, 8-bit/color RGB,
non-interlaced

There were some (ldd) errors reported while I used reportbug to post this.

This is neither a critical or a blocking bug, and might be as simple as a
regular expression in some code of a single-character typo in a
configuraton file: where should I look to find out if there is a change
to the source package I can suggest or test to help provide a fix?

If you can point me at the right package or the right way I might search
for it myself I'd be really grateful because what might be your five minutes
might save me hours of effort looking around that I basically really don't
have to spare.

I imagine it might start with getting the sources listed below and running
some grep or rg on them. Thanks for any help you can give.
