Hello,
using Gnome when I Ctrl-click on a link in a writer document, the URL is
opened in firefox. If firefox is already running on a different
workspace at that time, it opens the URL and a desktop notification
about it appears, but the firefox window isn't shown (no desktop switch,
window won't be raised).
In contrast to that, when I open a link from a Gnome Terminal window
(Right-Click -> Open Link), firefox opens the URL, the desktop is
switched to the one running firefox and the window is raised. When
clicking on a link in Thunderbird, it behaves in the same way (i.e.
desktop switch + window raised).
It would be nice to have a consistent behaviour here. In my subjective
opinion the behaviour of the Gnome Terminal and Thunderbird is the
better one, so this bug is reported against libreoffice.
The same difference was observed on an Ubuntu system (don't know the
actual versions involved though), so I guess this is an upstream
problem.
Thanks
Uwe
