Dear Maintainer,

I made a liveusb with debian-live-testing-amd64-gnome.iso
(weekly build 2024-09-30 04:11, sha256sum
7bc17cb9f296517bb8dce814dfa1d20ff4149818b9f1a0b71f1152d522f94ff3) and after I
booted into the live system I found the GNOME live shiped fcitx and KDE System
Settings.

What I'm curious about are, 1. Is there any reason for live system to choose fcitx, not fcitx5?
Fcitx is in maintenance mode and is not recommended for further utilization. 2. Why GNOME live build
should ship KDE System Settings? I opened the Settings app but I can only found proxy settings, and other
configuration tabs available on regular KDE system are missing (which is an expected situation I think)

Hello Zhian Chen,

fcitx is added to the live image by several 'task-XXXX-desktop'
packages. I'm wondering whether some of them would need an IME at all
and if so, whether they can be upgraded to fcitx5.

KDE System Settings was added to the live image by the Calamares
installer. This has been fixed and the trixie live image for GNOME does
no longer have KDE System Settings.
