I am writing to report an issue with the built-in keyboard on a Microsoft Surface device while using Debian. The issue affects the install environment and the LUKS decryption password prompt. Here are the details of the problem:

Issue Description:

During Installation:
The built-in keyboard does not work at all in the Debian installer environment. I had to rely on an external USB keyboard to navigate through the installation process.

After installation, the built-in keyboard works in the GRUB menu, but it does not function when prompted to enter the LUKS decryption password.

After LUKS Decryption:
Once the system boots past the LUKS decryption stage, the built-in keyboard works as expected for typing the login username and password at the login screen.

External Keyboard:
An external USB keyboard works at all stages (installation, LUKS password prompt, and login).

Steps to Reproduce:
- Boot into the Debian installation environment on a Microsoft Surface device.
- Try to use the built-in keyboard (it does not respond).
- Complete the installation with an external keyboard.
- Reboot the system with LUKS encryption enabled.
- Observe that the built-in keyboard works in the GRUB menu but does not respond at the LUKS decryption prompt.
- After decrypting the system with an external keyboard, observe that the built-in keyboard works again at the login screen.

Expected Behavior:
The built-in keyboard should work during the installation process, at the LUKS decryption prompt, and throughout the entire system boot process without the need for an external keyboard.
