The upstream support for the Tesla 470 driver series has ended in 07/2024: https://docs.nvidia.com/datacenter/tesla/drivers/ It therefore shouldn't be released with trixie. The severity of this bug will be raised once we approach the freeze. Andreas
Hello, Its disappointing that Nvidia won't provide better support for their products! My understanding is that the GT710 needs this driver. Its still being sold as new; https://www.cclonline.com/gt-710-2gd3h-lp-msi-geforce-gt-710-2gb-graphics-card/ Popcon shows around 800 users of this package. I'm wondering if this removal should be mentioned in the Trixie release notes? Would you consider orphaning the package, rather than removing it? Regards, Peter ~> nvidia-detect Checking card: NVIDIA Corporation GK208B [GeForce GT 710] (rev a1) Your card is only supported by the Tesla 470 drivers series, which is only available up to bookworm.
Please ignore that daft comment! I was thinking the package was being RMed from the archive, but now realise its only being pulled from Testing, and will live on in Sid Sorry about that. Cheers, Peter

With the softfreeze having arrived, should we do that now?
