#1086436 RM: falcosecurity-libs [i386] -- ANAIS; Upstream build fails for i386, Debian package is no longer built for i386

Upstream no longer tests i386, and hasn't been able to allocate the
resources to fix it. Until this happens I disabled the i386 builds in
the Debian package, and I would like migrations to testing to work
again, despite those builds being missing.

Thanks.

Hi Dima,

there are reverse dependencies that need to be taken care of:

Checking reverse dependencies...
# Broken Depends:
sysdig: sysdig

# Broken Build-Depends:
sysdig: libfalcosecurity0-dev (0.11.3 >=)

Dependency problem found.
Continue (y/N)?
Aborted.

In case they matter, this needs to be addressed first. Please remove the
moreinfo tag once that is done.

Hi. Sorry for not replying earlier. I never got this email.

This is expected. sysdig is the primary consumer of falcosecurity-libs,
and if falcosecurity-libs is not available for i386, it is expected that
sysdig:i386 would not be built either.

hey Dima,

I see that there's a sysdig upload that removed i386, but i386 still has
a sysdig around. Please file for removal for sysdig on i386, so I can
process that and this together.

We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

libfalcosecurity0-dev | 0.1.1dev+git20220316.e5c53d64-5.1 | i386
------------------- Reason ------------------- ANAIS; Upstream build fails for i386, Debian package is no longer built for i386 ---------------------------------------------- Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug. The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the master archive and will not propagate to any mirrors until the next dinstall run at the earliest. Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is really needed, please contact them if this should be the case. Bugs which have been reported against this package are not automatically removed from the Bug Tracking System. Please check all open bugs and close them or re-assign them to another package if the removed package was superseded by another one. The version of this package that was in Debian prior to this removal can still be found using https://snapshot.debian.org/. Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you have further comments please address them to 1086436@bugs.debian.org. The full log for this bug can be viewed at https://bugs.debian.org/1086436 This message was generated automatically; if you believe that there is a problem with it please contact the archive administrators by mailing ftpmaster@ftp-master.debian.org.
