Thunderbird has an important CPU usage (100% on one core).

This usage stops when I restart thunderbird whether in normal or safe mode.

I would like to know how to diagnose this CPU usage.

Most likely you have a AddOn installed that is producing this behavior
I'd guess.

I will try the solution removing the 3 files in the profile I have seen
this message about RenderCompositor too. for addons I have few installed
exactly 2 since I removed the extensions for caldav.

The diagnosis seems difficult to establish, as this behavior occurs
after the software has been in use for some time, and it is therefore
difficult to use it for such a long time without the extensions, of
which one relates to spam management

I will see how things evolve in the next day and try the solution provided.

Following part of your suggestion above seems to have returned Tbird to its
usual operation:
~$ thunderbird --safemode

Then exiting/restarting Thunderbird normally.  I removed no files. Restarting
normally prior to using safemode did not help.
