Dear Maintainer, Filing a bug to keep gpa out of Trixie - gpa isn't well maintained, I have done the conversion to GTK3, but it has no real maintainer upstream, and the current version needs more work. There are threading that locks it up (for example just click on the refresh button in the key list window). I don't find it in shape for a stable Debian release. If these things changes, I don't have anything against it going to testing, of course. Klepatra, which is the QT/KDE equivalent, works fine, and has support and maintainers upstream. I would recommend to use that if you can live with the QT interface.
Here is a pointer to the first message in a discussion with upstream about why gpa might not belong in debian testing: https://lists.gnupg.org/pipermail/gnupg-devel/2024-December/035699.html
Thanks - I have pushed another release to unstable containing a patch from upstream, which after some testing seems to make it work pretty good - seems to fix the problems I reported above (I haven't done any real in-depth testing though). There's still the fact that it doesn't have a proper upstream maintainer though, which might be good enough cause to not let it migrate to testing. /Andreas Rönnquist gusnan@debian.org
