I hoped the new kernel would fix this bug, but it is still present in
kernel 6.12.9-amd64. When booting 6.11.10, everything is good and
present, but booting any 6.12.x kernel misses the second monitor.

Every new kernel I hope this bug will be fixed, but no avail.

With kernel 6.12.10 the second monitor is also not recognized, but is
when booted to kernel 6.11.10, with the same nvidia drivers.

One thing I noticed also is that when starting a new gui program the
(only) screen turns black for one to two seconds, before showing the
program. I never noticed this with kernels before 6.12, but with every
6.12 kernel.

When will you start working on this bug?!?

Also 6.12.12 didn't change a thing. But experiencing this since the
first 6.12 kernel, I suspected the NVidia-Driver being not ready for
6.12 kernels. Digging deeper I found a recommendation to install
nvidia-xconfig and run it, and what should I say: my second monitor is
recognized also with kernel 6.12.12!

So all nvidia users: install nvidia-xconfig and run it, after reboot
your nvidia drivers will work again!
