Dear maintainer, Starting with apt 2.9.22, it is not possible to use the apt-cudf resolver anymore, as this leads to installation failure: | Execute external solver... | Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have | requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable | distribution that some required packages have not yet been created | or been moved out of Incoming. | The following information may help to resolve the situation: | | The following packages have unmet dependencies: | gawk : PreDepends: libsigsegv2 (>= 2.9) but it is not going to be installed | python3 : PreDepends: python3-minimal (= 3.13.1-2) but it is not going to be installed | E: Broken packages | apt-get failed. | Package installation failed | Not removing build depends: cloned chroot in use Downgrading to version 2.9.21 fixes the issue. This is feature is used for instance used on the build daemons to build experimental, hence the severity grave. Regression of my attempt to clean up old macros, in particular 6828ae2c2f9268c8187f0fa91b3c464ed84a8476 which replaces code that generated correctly "Pre-Depends" fields with non-embedded shared code that incorrect generates "PreDepends" – note the missing dash. I didn't notice until now… Patch with test incoming, so the bot will hopefully comment soon and I save myself from attaching the patch ~ I am just mailing ahead to fix the versions in the BTS. Days since I last broke Debian: 0 Best regards David Kalnischkies
Hello, Bug #1093254 in apt reported by you has been fixed in the Git repository and is awaiting an upload. You can see the commit message below and you can check the diff of the fix at: https://salsa.debian.org/apt-team/apt/-/commit/4454fd246b3b7f605dcd272b2107313ba53688c5 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Write Pre-Depends with a dash again in EDSP For some reason ~ that I don't know and can't come up with on the spot ~ we output the Pre-Depends field as PreDepends in the translated user-visible output and I accidentally copied that over to the untranslated variant that replaced the embedded copy (with a dash) in the EDSP generator. Code-copies and implementation details littered all over the place are apparently sometimes a good bug-free thing, too… Regression-of: 6828ae2c2f9268c8187f0fa91b3c464ed84a8476 Closes: #1093254 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ (this message was generated automatically) -- Greetings https://bugs.debian.org/1093254
