Dear Maintainer, I installed Debian 12.9 using the full DVD installer flashed to a USB stick. I used the graphical installer and selected to install Debian Desktop and LXQt. When the install was finished Plasma was installed and selected as the default session (LXQt was also available). I couldn't find any bug reports about this, only some threads on Reddit describing this problem. I'm not sure the bug is in this package, but I figured it was worth a shot. Best regards, Marcus
Hi Images Team, Please consider explicitly including the sddm-theme-debian-elarun package on any image where the lxqt package is included. With debian-13.1.0-arm64-DVD-1.iso [1], selecting LXQt on the tasksel dialog without a network mirror installs KDE along with it. Turns out this bug was reported for task-lxqt-desktop for 12.9, quoted below: task-lxqt-desktop depends on "sddm-theme-debian-elarun | sddm-theme" but I only see sddm-theme-breeze and sddm-theme-debian-breeze in the DVD-1 package lists [2]. I guess the elarun theme isn't automatically included because the breeze themes will definitely be included for KDE and satisfy the sddm-theme dependency. And when LXQt tries to pull in sddm with the only those themes available in the cdrom mirror and without a network mirror, those pull in plasma-workspace that they depend on. (Not sure if I should reassign to debian-cd specifically.)
