Read, write, validate and/or convert electronic invoices using the
commandline version (download on the commandline page) or read how
to embed the java library in your software.

Why is this package useful/relevant?

It is a possible library to read and/or right electonic invoices
and bills.

It is a dependency for
   - jverein
   - and other applications which handles with invoices and bills

There is no other packages providing similar functionality

I want to maintain it inside the Java-Team.

I propose "mustang-cli" is a better name for this library

The package name itself will be libmustang-cli-java

This bug report concerns the new package called `mustang-cli`
(previously named `mustang-invoice`).
Please update the report with the new package name.

Hi, have you considered a library name like "libmustangproject-validator-java", to resemble the Maven artifact name?

Bye!

Hello Andrea,

For me it isn't only a validator. It is a dependency to read *and* write
electronic invoices/bills.

But I'm not familiar with the Maven artifact naming.

So if this long name is a better name like the other one, you can remane
the Title of the ITP bug and we change it.

Kind reagards

Hi Mechtilde,

I do agree with your reasoning, but I generally believe that following
names already adopted elsewhere is better. As upstream has chose to
publish their library as a Maven package under that name, it's likely
that they'd prefer this name also for the Debian package. Another
advantage is that this makes it easy for users to discover the package,
as they're already familiar with the name.

As for the full CLI application, though, "mustang-cli" or
"mustangproject-cli" makes perfect sense.

I'm not going to rename the ITP myself though. Your package, your
choice :)

Moreover, I'm suggesting renaming the binry package, not the source
package.

Hope I've explained myself well! Bye
