Dear Maintainer,

since somewhat recently, every time I reboot my system, nextcloud is running twice.
The nextcloud icons appears twice in the system tray, and "pidof nextcloud" also
returns two results. Both of them have "gnome-session-binary" as their parent
process.

I have noticed that in Gnome Tweaks, Nextcloud is indeed listed twice. I have removed
one of them, which hopefully fixes the issue. But I didn't add the second entry there
manually so something still seems wrong somewhere.

I am using GNOME as by Desktop Environment.

Hi,

I found the upstream bug for this, referenced above. Deleting the
`com.nextcloud.desktopclient.nextcloud.desktop` file in the `autostart` folder
seems to help, though it may well be that nextcloud will re-create that file at
some point...

I checked stopping Nextcloud desktop, removed both files in ~/.config/autostart/, then started Nextcloud
and then I used the checkbox in the parameters to disable autostart, and reenabling the parameter, checking that only the ~/.config/autostart/Nextcloud.desktop is deleted / re-generated.

So it seems that stopping all instances and removing ~/.config/autostart/com.nextcloud.desktopclient.nextcloud.desktop is probably the best workaround, Debian-wise.

I thought the problem was fixed, as I had no longer 2 files for aut-starting nextcloud:
$ ack -i nextcloud ~/.config/autostart/
/home/olivier/.config/autostart/Nextcloud.desktop
2:Name=Nextcloud
4:Exec="/usr/bin/nextcloud" --background
6:Icon=Nextcloud

But suddenyly this morning after restarting and logging in again, I get 2 instances of nextcloud running again.

$ ps aux | grep -i nextcloud
olivier     3516  0.1  1.3 2574532 215448 ?      SLl  10:56   0:01 /usr/bin/nextcloud --background
olivier     3874  0.1  1.3 2574488 215876 ?      SLl  10:56   0:01 /usr/bin/nextcloud --background

Here's the relevant pieces of pstree for the 2 nextcloud process

So, I'm puzzled. There's another instance of something that starts it, but not related to my /home/olivier/.config/autostart/Nextcloud.desktop apparently.

I dunno what would be special about that gnome session (stable).
