On the French localization (fr_FR UTF8) of Debian, when we do apt update / apt upgrade, there are localization issues. Example for apt update: romain@debian-vm:~$ sudo apt update Atteint :1 http://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm InRelease Réception de :2 http://security.debian.org/debian-security bookworm-security InRelease [48,0 kB] It should be: romain@debian-vm:~$ sudo apt update Atteint : 1 http://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm InRelease Réception de : 2 http://security.debian.org/debian-security bookworm-security InRelease [48,0 kB] I'm using Debian GNU/Linux 12.9, kernel 6.1.0-31-amd64 Best regards, Romain
Adding French translators into the loop. Note the last update to the French translation was in 2019.
Hi Julian, Thanks for reaching the list, […] Looks like missing spaces after the colon in (at least) the four following stanzas. https://salsa.debian.org/apt-team/apt/-/blob/main/po/fr.po?ref_type=heads#L1706 Maybe a good opportunity for a proper update ;). Cheers taffit

Please close this bug report with version 3.0.0 as pseudo header. Cheers Alban
