Dear Maintainer,
Tried to install Frescobaldi recently leading to a noAudio-dummyOutput situation. First thought was that it was coming from my FrankenDebian so I did a wipe and fresh install. Everything was okay until I installed Frescobaldi again, leading to the same issue.
Tried some workarounds to no avail, the only way was for me to reboot and pray that the sound was okay (approx 1/3 probability). Ultimately purged Frescobaldi, which, to my surprise, did not solve the issue and led me to think it was one of its dependencies. top pointed at a fluidsynth process that I couldn't recognize, and found this issue[1] back in 2023.
tl;dr: Frescobaldi recommends and install fluidsynth by default, which conflicts with pulseaudio.
I did not install PipeWire as to not fall into a FrankenDebian rabbithole as I did in the past, fluidsynth shouldn't be recommended if leading to issues with Debian's default pulseaudio.
