that's especially confusing for me because thunderbird/firefox and emacs use it for back/forward one word

Thanks for the answer.
They are set as expected:
Backword Word --> Ctrl left
Forward Word --> Ctrl right
nevertheless konsole only performs Backward/Forward one character

I found the problem:

in my konsole configuration the keyboard was set to 'Linux-Konsole'
if I change to XFree4 it works correct
