It looks like the crash is caused by one of several regressions in 1.4.39:
- https://gitlab.com/Remmina/Remmina/-/issues/3285
- https://gitlab.com/Remmina/Remmina/-/issues/3295

1.4.40 seems to have fixes for both.

Manually installing remmina binaries (1.4.40) from sid repository seems to work fine.
But I'm not sure if it's a good workaround.

is it possible to upgrade Remmina in Trixie from 1.4.39 to 1.4.40 by
proposed-updates / point release?

We see a lot of segfaults, very hard to work with Remmina in Trixie...

Unfortunately version 1.4.39 crash very often in Debian Trixie...

versión 1.4.39 on debian 13 are impossible to use via RDP. it's crash
every connection.

Please add backport 1.4.40 if it's possible.

Hi,

some updates on this issue.

I build some local backports of Remmina 1.4.40, but this version
doesn't solved all issues.
remmina-common_1.4.40+dfsg-2~bpo13+1_all.deb

Then I build also local backports of freerdp3-wayland and this version
fix all the issues:
freerdp3-wayland_3.20.0+dfsg-1~bpo13+1_amd64.deb

Today I saw freerdp3-wayland is now in backports with version
3.22.0+dfsg-1~bpo13+1
I guess this can solve all the issues, even with Remmina 1.4.39.

@Fernando can you test this?
