CIFS recently announced the availability of version 7.2. It contains a number
of improvements, including some useful enhancements to mount handling across
namespaces.  It would be great to have this in Debian soon!

Dear Maintainer,

I am also interested in cifs-utils 7.2 being packaged, and I think it would
be fantastic if it could make trixie before Soft Freeze.

I am also mostly interested in the changes to mount handling across
namespaces, and think that it would be a popular feature among LTS users in
the future.
