* Package name : wireguard-initramfs Version : 2025-03-02 Upstream Contact: Robert Pufky <rpufky@gmail.com> * URL : https://github.com/r-pufky/wireguard-initramfs * License : unlicense Programming Lang: Bash Description : WireGuard initramfs integration Enables WireGuard networking during boot, before encrypted partitions are mounted. Combined with dropbear this can enable fully encrypted remote booting without storing key material or exposing ports on the remote network. An Internet connection simply needs to exist that can reach the WireGuard server endpoint. Normal dropbear connections and DNS resolution can be used to find WireGuard endpoints. This essentially enables the creation of a fully encrypted remote-managed node, with the ability to prevent all local access.
Hi Alexander, That sounds awesome! Do you need any help packaging or a sponsor for the upload? LMK.
Hi Daniel, Yes, I will need a sponsor for the upload. The package is practically ready, I will do a few last tests and let you know when it's ready. Thanks, Alex
Hi Daniel, My tests were successful, and the package is ready. You can find it on mentors.debian.net: https://mentors.debian.net/package/wireguard-initramfs/ The repository is also available on Salsa: https://salsa.debian.org/animux/wireguard-initramfs Would you sponsor the upload, or should I create an RFS? Thanks, Alex
Hi all. Is there any update on this? Having wireguard-initramfs in Debian Forky would be very useful to me.
