I'd like to seek a new maintainer for s3fs.

This is a tool that I don't use regularly and that I don't have any
"affection" for.

Hello,

I use s3fs to backup files from Ceph RADOSGW which has a S3-compatible
API using rsync in a production setting.

I would like to adopt this package. I'm new to Debian packaging, but as
a heavy Debian user, it just seems right to contribute.

Hi all

I'd also be willing to help...What's the current status, Mattia? Is
Fernando taking over?

Thank you all!

Damian

Hi,

I would like to express my interest in adopting the s3fs-fuse package.

For reference:

RFA bug: #1100650
ITA bug: #1135559
RFS bug: #1135562

I have prepared an updated package (1.97-1). The package builds
successfully using sbuild on unstable (amd64), passes lintian (no
errors, only minor warnings), and has been tested and works as expected.

The packaging repository is available at:

Vcs-Git: https://salsa.debian.org/hikmahgumelar/s3fs-fuse.git
Vcs-Browser: https://salsa.debian.org/hikmahgumelar/s3fs-fuse

I would be happy to maintain and update the package going forward.

Please let me know how you would like to proceed.

Best regards,
Hikmah Gumelar

Hi Bastian,

Thanks for retitling the bug. Just to confirm: does this ITA reflect my
intent to adopt s3fs-fuse, following up on the RFS I submitted earlier to
debian-mentors?

Let me know if there's anything further needed from my side to move the
sponsorship/adoption process forward.

Best regards,
Hikmah gumelar

Yes, it reflects the state. You should probably have a look at the
comments on your RFS to move it forward.
