Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
Updating the system, rtorrent doesn't take keyboard input anymore.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Verified it's not my terminal or screen that causes it.
* What was the outcome of this action?
Still broken.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
I expect rtorrent to respond to keyboard input.
I can reproduce this bug in foot terminal (Wayland). No keystroke works now.
I tried clearing out session directory and rt-idx and starting from scratch. While there were no torrents, keyboard worked. After some time adding torrents (moving from the old rt-idx), keyboard stops responding. When I kill rtorrent with a kill command, (some of ?) the keystrokes I sent trying if the keyboard works appear in the command line, like rtorrent closed it's stdin or just very strongly rejected reading from keyboard.
This bug seems fixed in my system. I don't know what was the problem, but now keyboard works again in rtorrent.
severity 1100782 important thanks Hi Balint, not everyone uses rtorrent via tty. XMLRPC is also possible. This issue is at best important severity, i.e. doesn't warrent rtorrent's removal from testing. Lowering accordingly. Hope you can find a fix for the issue.
