Dear Maintainers,

your package sets all include the file /usr/games/play.sh, leading
to unpack errors from dpkg:

  Preparing to unpack .../xabacus_8.5.1-1+b2_arm64.deb ...
  Unpacking xabacus (8.5.1-1+b2) ...
dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/xabacus_8.5.1-1+b2_arm64.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/usr/games/play.sh', which is also in package xmpuzzles (8.8.7+ds-1)
  Errors were encountered while processing:
   /var/cache/apt/archives/xabacus_8.5.1-1+b2_arm64.deb
Error: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

A use of Conflicts: would not seem appropriate to me in this case.

Chris

Both should not be shipping this file.

If playing sound actually works, something like --with-def-play=/usr/bin/aplay,
depending on alsa-utils might be an option, and manually removing
/usr/games/play.sh during the build should work.

Configuring with --disable-def_play would otherwise work.

Hi,

x{m}puzzles has been fixed now.

https://salsa.debian.org/games-team/xpuzzles/-/commit/ebafcc6ab95d7db0c48267b4595ef878ba145b2e#8756c63497c8dc39f7773438edf53b220c773f67

I'm lowering the severity because this bug can not anymore happen
in the real world: xabacus Conflicts with xmabacus.

This bug should be fixed using d/rules from xpuzzles as reference for example,
but is not anymore RC buggy

Greetings

Alexandre
