However, when editing a file containing these characters, I notice that the package editor interprets and displays the Latin characters coming from files, not those from the keyboard. Now, I remain in doubt: should this be the default behavior of the editor or should it also interpret keyboard input? If the answer is the second option, we have a bug. And, if it is a bug, I think it is related to 'iconv' unix tool, as I report in the additional information below.
