This was originally packaged for diaspora, which is already removed.

FreedomBox has an app that installs and sets up libjs-jsxc to provide a
simple web interface to connect to ejabberd (that is also part of
FreedomBox). The library is used by providing a simple web page that
includes it[1]. It does seem to have a few users[2].

If it is not too much trouble, I would ask to keep it.

Thank you for packaging and maintaining it,

Hi Sunil,

I suggest you hand in a fix for #1094450 and offer to maintain libjs-jsxc
and ruby-rails-assets-jquery.slimscroll. They are both team-maintained,
so it should be easy to get to maintain them.

Pirate, as long as there is interest in these packages and you do not
want to maintain them anymore, I suggest to convert the RM bugs to RFA
or O bugs.

Thanks,
Bastian

Control: reassign -1 wnpp
Control: retitle -1 O: libjs-jsxc -- JavaScript XMPP Client

My original interest in this package (libjs-jsxc) was diaspora, which
was removed already. So someone else needs to step in to maintain it if
we have to keep it. I will orphan it as suggested in a later comment.

I had asked in ruby-team if there was any interest in any dependencies
of diaspora or gitlab.

I copied the other uploader in the rm bug to give them a chance to
respond if they are still interested. I have reassigned it to wnpp and
retitled it O

I have uploaded a stand alone libjs-jsxc to NEW. Once this is accepted,
we can continue with removal of ruby-rails-assets-jquery.slimscroll

libjs-jsxc is now in trixie, but as I said earlier, I have orphaned it,
someone needs to adopt this package and probably update to new upstream
versions.
