I have already mentioned the problem in the upstream bug tracking
system. It seems that the problem comes from the ppc64el port of
FFmpeg and not from the octave-video package per se.

I will fill a bug report againt the ffmpeg package, accordingly.

The issue has been reproduced on ppc64el, and I am currently working on
resolving it.
