Hi,

thanks for maintaining austin. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite just work
anymore. It needs code for each specific Python interpreter version and
since it wasn't uploaded in a while, the latest supported version in
Debian is 3.8. For comparison, the default for bullseye (oldstable) is
3.9. As such you always get

    Interpreter state search timed out

Practically speaking, austin does not work at for Debian's Python
versions. Upstream has several commits that add support for more recent
Python versions up to 3.13 and I guess packaging a newer upstream
version would make this package usable again. We should not provide this
version of austin in Debian trixie.

Helmut

And one more bump. https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/austin currently
shows this package as marked for autoremoval on 13 June, but also says
"only 11 of 20 days old" on the fixed version, so this message should
allow enough time for it to migrate.
