The header for each column is not visible when I run cbm on Trixie.
It simply says "Color Bandwidth Meter" in a blue background with no
explanation of what each column means. I built cmb from upstream and
it gives the column headers (in red):

"Interface    Receive   Transmit    Total    Receive Max   Transmit Max"

which is information that I need to interpret the cbm data. I have run
cmb both in gnome terminal and on a tty and get the same behavior.
