Dear Maintainer, sioyek crashes when trying to search inside a PDF (by pressing "/"). I belive this is related to the mupdf version it relies on, as described in https://github.com/ahrm/sioyek/issues/1285
This is still a problem in March 2026. Is this package still maintained? Any chance that this bug might be fixed?
I tried the Appimage from the project's Github and flatpak version, which don't have this particular bug. However, they still have other bugs on Debian testing. It does not seem to respond to some IPC messages. You can't open a new file once sioyek is already running (unless you open it from within the running instance). The last sioyek v2 release is from 2022 and seems to be falling apart on new distros. I think this package should either be removed or upgraded to the v3 alpha release.
Dear Maintainer, Since this bug already exists in the BTS, I am just confirming that it is relevant for this version as well.
The mupdf version in the 2.0.0+dfsg-5.1+b3 build was 1.27.0. If the mupdf is really the issue, someone should identify what is wrong there and then get that fix into Debian. Downgrading mupdf is not an option we should pursue.
