When I run the w command the TTY is shown as - Like this: # w 18:05:00 up 2:32, 1 user, load average: 0.57, 0.63, 0.93 USER TTY FROM LOGIN@ IDLE JCPU PCPU WHAT c - 15:33 0.00s ? lightdm --session-child 15 26 I expect a value to be shown, in this case tty7 The fgconsole command shows the tty number # fgconsole 7 I am using Debian testing.
