Dear Maintainer,

Accd'g to
http://codesearch.debian.net/search?q=%5Cbblake3_hasher_init%5Cb&literal=0
this package embeds the BLAKE3 C API.

Pending #1107091, this should be replaced with linking to libblake3-dev,
pursuant to policy 4.13.

Best,

Hi there,

Sure thing, that's a totally valid request, and I'd be happy to look
into it more closely once libblake3-dev appears in Debian.

FWIW for future reference I would have preferred if you had opened the
bug after libblake3-dev actually showed up in Debian, because as things
stand, I'm now left with a bug report that I should not close (because
it's valid!), but that I cannot do anything to fix :) I appreciate you
raising this issue, though!

On that note...

I believe these blocked-by relationships are opposite. All these bugs
are blocked by the introduction of libblake3-dev, not the other way
around. If you agree, could you send the appropriate fixes to control@?

Thanks!
Faidon
