Dear maintainer(s), I looked at the results of the autopkgtest of your package because it showed up as a regression for jq. I noticed that it regularly fails on s390x since March 2025 and it now fails more often than it passes. I recall there was something special with NaN on s390x, but I can't find it. Maybe I'm mixing up with ppc64el which recently was on my radar because of another NaN bug. Because the unstable-to-testing migration software now blocks on regressions in testing, flaky tests, i.e. tests that flip between passing and failing without changes to the list of installed packages, are causing people unrelated to your package to spend time on these tests. Don't hesitate to reach out if you need help and some more information from our infrastructure. Hi, It's now very late in the freeze. The test now seems to nearly consistently fail. Let's not have the package removed from trixie on an architecture where desktop users are unlikely. If a solution is found soon, it can still go in if not too intrusive. Paul
Hi, Sorry, I didn't have/took the time to address this. I guess it's too late to upload a fix for the release? If not, I can upload a quick fix to address this. If so, what would be the next phase? Should I open an unblock bug on release.d.o metapackage once uploaded? Thanks for the trixie-ignore tag and sorry once again for the late answer. Thomas
Hi, As we haven't announced (nor decided) a release date yet, it's not too late for targeted fixes. paperwork isn't a key package and has autopkgtests, so assuming we don't announce a Full Freeze date next couple of days, it should be able to migrate without help. Having said that, we watch for RC bug fixes that don't migrate so we'd probably spot the upload. Also an unblock is fine. Paul
We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of paperwork, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive. A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you have further comments please address them to 1107787@bugs.debian.org, and the maintainer will reopen the bug report if appropriate.
