Hi,

I'm not been part of the team for 5+ years so it's not realistic that I maintain
this team-maintained package. Accordingly, please remove me from
Uploaders, thanks!

Hi,

Here's a gentle ping about my request from July 2025:

Alternatively, I suspect pkg-perl would happily adopt this package.

Thanks,

I think several of the pkg-privacy packages belong better in other
teams. With my pet goal of winding down less active packageing groups
in favor of focusing contributions to more active packaging groups in
Debian, the above suggestion seems good to me.

Is 'parcimonie' is still working and useful? Active upstream? Last
tagged release was in 2020.

If this package is still useful, I could try to join pkg-perl and move
the package there, adding me as Uploader and removing you, since leaving
that field empty is unfortunately forbidden by policy.

It is.

In some contexts it still is, despite its limitations.

I'm upstream. It's in maintenance mode.

I'm part of pkg-perl and I could move the package there and remain
the Uploader.

Cheers,

That seems like a good solution to close this bug!

Hi,

Thank you @segvault for having taken over the maintenance of Metadata Cleaner!

I have uploaded 4.0.0 yesterday 10:38 CET:

However, it has not been picked up yet by the auto-builder and I have neither
received a rejection nor an accept mail. I suspect this is due to my PGP key
being expired in the Debian keyring, at least via hkp. I have updated my key
(`gpg --keyserver keyring.debian.org --send-key
B153481DB739CC87A3D65DCF062023CA3E06BDD5`) but I presume that it will take some
while before it gets picked up in the keyring package[3].

I will most likely not be able to do further digging into this before I will be
on vacation starting mid of next week until mid may, unfortunately.

I would be very thankful if someone else - maybe Georg or hefee? - could imagine
signing & uploading the package. I have pushed the changes to Salsa[3]. The CI
fails, but I am confident that (a) this is due to issues with gbp and git-lfs,
and that (b) the package is in a fine state: I have updated d/copyright
thoroughly, piuparts reports no issues and installation and texting in a Trixie
VM also worked fine.

Thanks everyone for your patience and best regards,
Peymaneh
