Comments/Problems:

I did this installation for a acquaintance of mine who (unfortunately)
decided to keep the proprietary operating system already installed on
the notebook.

After the installation everything seemed to be fine: I managed to boot
without any problems into GRUB and then in both operating systems. But
then, as the subject of this bug report says, the Notebook started to
often power off with an error instead of booting into Grub. The error
message is shown for less than 1 second so I can only report that it is
something like "Something went wrong in xxx_yyy_zzz(). Powering off."
I believe that this message is from the (U)EFI of the notebook.

Fortunately I tried to disable Secure Boot in the firmware of the
notebook and since then the critical error didn't occur anymore!

Kind regards, Magnus
