Dear Maintainer,

While testing the debian 13.0.0 live images before the release, I've
noticed an oddity: in the LXDE amd64 image there's the debian-reference
package for Italian and Spanish languages only. It seemed to me like an
odd decision because the rest of the system is in English (at least by
default), and therefore, I expected to see either (1) just the English
version of the debian-reference package, or (2) any subset of the
debian-reference packages that includes English.

I suppose that was not intentional, so I'm filing this as a bug. Thanks!

I've created a new bug report #1114683 to ask the maintainers of
debian-reference what their preference would be.

Depending on that answer, a patch can be prepared to either include all
translations or to exclude the whole package.
