Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

I installed Debian 13 with gnome desktop as virtual machine on Mac Studio M1
ultra, tried both UMT and Parallels virtulization.
When checking the about page, it says, graphics is "virgl (Apple M1 Ultra
(Compat))".
However, after enabled remote desktop, and connected by windows mstsc, and then
while I checkthe about page again, the graphics is "software rendering".

But for Fedora 42 and ALMALinux 10, the graphics is always "virgl (Apple M1
Ultra (Compat))".

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

   * What was the outcome of this action?

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

Thanks very much for working on this.
After going through the thread, as a temporary solution, I added my account
to "render" group, then GPU rendering works for gnome remote desktop.
