   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?  BUG SHOWS UP WITH THE CINNAMON DESKTOP, BUT NOT AT THE COMMAND LINE.
   * What was the outcome of this action?  Unnecessary updates since I believe there are pending updates when there isnt.
   * What outcome did you expect instead?  No popup saying there are updates unless there really are updates.
