Dear Maintainer, it would be nice to have a recent upstream version within the archive, while writing upstream is on 4.14.0. An updated version of python-beanie [1] was pushed to the archive. But this requires the binary package python3-pymongo at version >= 4.11.0. [1] https://tracker.debian.org/news/1655690/accepted-python-beanie-200-1-source-into-unstable/ Regards Carsten
If the new package you are talking about fails to work, contact the person who uploaded it or create an RC bug about it. They can update pymongo and then update anything that needs updating with the new version of pymongo. Best
Hello Salvo, Am 31.08.25 um 09:13 schrieb Salvo Tomaselli: the maybe a bit hectically upload of python-beanie without checking the dependencies correctly doesn't change something in the end. The RC bug [1] for python-beanie is already existing. So I do not really understand your email. Is you want to say you wont have time to package a more recent version? Or the uploader of the latest version from python-beanie should update pymongo? I did hesitate to update pymongo as my knowledge in that package isn't really existing. And until now the pressure isn't that high I'll dive in. [1] https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1111346
