Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where
appropriate ***
* What led up to the situation?
Reading web pages.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Looked at the screen to read web pages without touching the screen or
keyboard
* What was the outcome of this action?
Mouse cursor stops moving, keyboard stops working, can't ssh to the
machine,
several times per day. Screen is still displayed. Only recovery is
rebooting
using hardware "reset" or "power" button. It occurs both with Debian 12
and
Debian 13 and the stable Firefox in both. My display manager with
Debian 12 is
KDE Plasma 5.27.5. My display manager with Debian 13 is KDE Plasma
6.3.6. I
initially suspected my antique NVidia K2200 graphics, but I replaced it
with
AMD Radeon RX580 and the problem persisted. I suspected Evolution but a
crash
occurred while I was reading from the same account in Firefox. I've
been using
Chromium (which I don't much like) for more than a week with no issues.
I've reported this to bugzilla firefox.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
Machine should have kept on working
