that it regularly fails on amd64 (which has machine-isolation support).

Because the unstable-to-testing migration software now blocks on
regressions in testing, flaky tests, i.e. tests that flip between
passing and failing without changes to the list of installed packages,
are causing people unrelated to your package to spend time on these
tests.

from our infrastructure.

On at least armhf and s390x by the way, the log is an endless repeat

Indeed a few weeks ago I completely rewrote the tests, and added some tricks to
make them much more stable. That's all upstream, but not yet in Debian. There
was no rush before due to the freeze, but I'll see to doing a new upstream
