Dear Maintainer,

Upon upgrading from Bookworm to Trixie, I have found that moving or
copying messages from one IMAP folder to another has become very
difficult with kmail.

1. Right-clicking on the email for the menu, and moving the mouse
over "Move message to" causes the menu to immediately close.
2. Selecting "Message" at the top of the main Kmail window does
the same when moving the mouse down to "Copy message to".

This means that the only way to move or copy a message is by dragging
it to the appropriate IMAP folder - assuming one's trackpad has enough
range to get from the message list to the desired IMAP folder.

This makes it difficult to move messages between IMAP folders using
Kmail, severely impacting one of the fundamental operations of an
email client.

Hi Russell,

I cannot reproduce the issue, sadly. This could be a graphical glitch of
course.

1. Do you see similar behaviour in other applications ? E.g. in
akregator or other apps from KDE PIM like kontact or korganizer ?

2. Are you using Wayland or X11 ? Does it happen as well in the other
session ?

Hi Patrick,

Thanks for the response.

I have not noticed it in any other application. Other sub-menus in Kmail
work fine.

Note, my mailboxes are all on IMAP.

Wayland, as per the default after upgrading to Trixie.

Thanks!
