The latest release, 2.051-1, shows the flag for France (🇫🇷) as another
flag (previous Debian version 2.048-1 was ok).  If you are seeing it as
three vertical lines (blue, white, red, French flag), then you are not
affected by a bug.  If you see it as three horizontal bands, red,
yellow, green, then the font you are using shows the incorrect flag.

Alternatively, go to https://emojipedia.org/flag-france#emoji : the flag
shown is wrong; clicking on "Emoji Designs" in the menu shows the
correct flag.

I was seeing something similar in Firefox after updating the package,
all sorts of emojis were showing as other emojis (including the French
flag in this report).

After finding https://github.com/googlefonts/noto-emoji/issues/517, I
found that restarting the browser fixed it.
