* Package name : rpcs3 Version : 0.0.37+git20250916.335ed8d+ds-1 Upstream Author : rpcs3 authors * URL : https://github.com/RPCS3/rpcs3/ * License : GPL-2 Programming Lang: C++ Description : PlayStation 3 emulator and debugger The purpose of the project is to completely and accurately emulate the Sony PlayStation 3 Computer Entertainment System in its entirety with the power of open-source community and reverse engineering. From the version, it looks like an early experimental emulator, but it's been around for a long time and using it myself, it's pretty functional. This package has a long list of dependencies: - Many available in debian already - Some in debian, but need minor updates (pugixml version 1.15, wolfssl config) - Some can't be unbundled, upstream fork or static lib (soundtouch, glslang) - Some can be packaged separately (libfusion-dev) Will take it through the usual RFS process, sponsors appreciated.
Hi Ahmad, I’ll be really happy to review your work. I had looked into packaging rpcs3 years ago, and have experience having packaged yuzu and melonDS. Don’t be afraid to ping me! I get distracted quite easily :) Bye!
Hi Ahmad, [ +cc games-team mailing list ] I'd be happy to sponsor the rpcs3 package (and its dependencies). Do you have any update on the status of this ? I am interested in seeing rpcs3 in Debian eventually and willing to spare a few cycles :-). Do you have a more concrete list of what deps are we missing / need to be updated in Debian ? I see the packaging at https://salsa.debian.org/ahmadkhalifa/rpcs3 but it seems to not build in the CI :-(. I didn't look at it in much more detail than that though. Would you like to move the packaging to the https://salsa.debian.org/games-team/ namespace and maintain it under the games-team? It'd probably make sense to join the team on salsa, too... Cheers! Chris
oh, I just saw (on an unrelated topic) that you uploaded rpcs3 to mentors. I will look at the package there, then ! Cheers
