The latest version of safeeyes is v3.2.0 (
https://github.com/slgobinath/SafeEyes/releases/tag/v3.2.0).
It has been ported to GTK4 and has much better Wayland support.

I have updated the package in mentors.debian.net and am looking for a
sponsor to accept it in the Debian repo.
