Please remove telepathy-spec from Debian. It has no remaining reverse dependencies in Debian and has been abandoned upstream. The last upstream release was in 2019. Thank you, Jeremy Bícha
Hi, As part of the UBPorts/lomiri project, some of us are working to resume upstream development on Telepathy and its various components. As such, we'd appreciate a delay of, say, 3-6 months before removing these packages: - ssh-contact - telepathy-logger - telepathy-haze - telepathy-spec - telepathy-rakia Obviously if there's no progress made by then, targeting removal of these packages for forky makes sense. Additionally, some of those packages we might not using and should be removed, but we've not sorted through all of that yet. In the meantime, can you please give us some time to get this stuff in order? Thanks, Andres
9 months later: are these packages still wanted? If yes, perhaps someone
could do an upload with the packaging fixes that have built up, such as
#1118923, #1122724, #1062787 in telepathy-logger?
I strongly suspect that at least ssh-contact is no longer useful,
because it uses an interface that as far as I know was only ever
implemented by telepathy-gabble and telepathy-salut, and those were
removed in 2022.
