Dear uscan developers,

recently [1] uscan gained the ability to use the fields in
debian/upstream/metadata to search for new releases, removing the need
to have a debian/watch file for the most common kinds of projects.

However the manpage has not been updated to document which fields of
d/u/metadata are used and/or required, nor its interaction with existing
d/watch files.

Could you please add some information about how uscan uses d/u/metadata
to the manpage?

Regards,

Hi Yadd,

Can you provide some documentation for this please?

Also, there is #1118077 open against lintian to avoid `debian-watch-file-is-missing` when d/u/metadata is present and uscan can use the same.

I have a merge request for this. Can you please review this?
