Dear Debian nm-connection-editor maintainers,

As of nm-connection-editor/1.36.0-4, it depends on policykit-1-gnome | polkit-1-auth-agent .
However, package policykit-1-gnome has been removed from Debian Unstable/Testing for good.
This is problematic, and causes problems such as https://lists.debian.org/deity/2025/11/msg00003.html .
Please consider modifying this dependency field and pick a proper dependency.

Maybe we should stop declaring a Depends/Recommends
foo|polkit-1-auth-agent and simply assume that a proper desktop
environment will make sure to pull in the polkit agent of their choice?
And users of minimal window manager based environments will have to
assemble their environment on their own.

I don't think we have agreed on a single "default" polkit-1-auth-agent
as a successor for policykit-1-gnome which would suit everyone.
