  Programming Lang: Python
Description : Share security information about attacks via XMPP

secinfo-xmpp receives information about attacks reported
locally by, for example fail2ban, and shares the information
via an XMPP group. Similarly it can use information received
from other hosts using the same XMPP group to ban addresses
which have attacked another host in the group.

While there are some alternatives discussed at
https://gitlab.com/JohnLines/secinfo-xmpp/-/wikis/Alternatives-and-similar-projects
none are packaged. It is in use, currently on 5 systems, but
in an early stage of development, so will be targetted for
experimental. co-maintainers would be welcome.

Ahoy there!

Just from reading your ITP I'm already interested. I'm adding the Debian XMPP Team to this mail to make them aware. You can find info about the team at https://wiki.debian.org/Teams/pkg-xmpp and we have a multi-user chat you can join too at xmpp:xmpp-team@conference.debian.org?join

I don't know much about Python but I'll keep an eye on this project and consider contributing tests if I'm able.
