In Firefox on Gnome on xorg in a fully up-to-date Debian 13, navigate to a downloadable item, say, https://www.debian.org/logos/openlogo-100.png https://www.debian.org/logos/openlogo-100.png. Hit Ctrl+S and save the file in /tmp/. A download icon appears to the right of the URL bar; click the download icon. A dropdown menu appears; click the folder icon near the name of the downloaded file (see the attachment). Observe that two Nautilus windows showing /tmp open up, and the downloaded file is selected in exactly one of them. I expect that not two, but one Nautilus window opens up, and there, the downloaded file is selected.
Please fix this.
