hyprwire-protocols provides a centralized collection of protocol
specifications used by Hyprwire and Hyprtavern.

The package contains XML protocol definitions and related metadata
intended for consumption by compositors, clients, and tooling that
implement or interact with the Hyprwire ecosystem. It does not contain
runtime binaries and is intended primarily for developers.


This package will be team-maintained by the Debian Hyprland Maintainers.

The community behind Hyprland has a problematic and very toxic culture that doesn’t realy align with the values we try to foster within Debian. This project in particular comes from a frustrated blog post where dismissive rhetoric is used against other projects and contributors. This only reinforces the feeling I have that we have to reconsider whether bringing this kind of attitude into Debian is the right move.
